Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. -- Brian W. Kernighan

See you at PPW!

is coming to Pittsburgh!

This year brings us the second annual Pittsburgh Perl Workshop. Last year, only one of us managed to get over to the west coast (of Pennsylvania), but this year we'll be out in force, giving talks about some of our Perl libraries and enjoying the always convivial atmosphere of a Perl conference.

We'll be presenting:

Our New Site!

2007-09-03

We're more about making code than making content, here at , so we've taken our sweet time in getting around to producing a website that tells you more than our programming philosophy. Still, we want you to know who we are and what we're up to, so we finally took the plunge, ordered in some pizza, and threw together this new site. We've got a few things we're planning to add, but you should be able to find everything you need already: who we are, what we do, and how you can get us to do it for you. Just look up!

Repositories Moved to Git

2007-08-01

We've more or less completed the conversion of all our public source code repositories from Subversion to Git. While Subversion has treated us well over the years, Git gave us a better way to work offline, makes it easier for other coders to work with us, and provides a number of improvements to our general workflow. It doesn't hurt that Git is really, really fast.

If you're looking for the code that was once at svn.codesimply.com, you can now find it at git.codesimply.com. If you're looking to make a checkout, the git daemon will answer requests for git:// schema URLs. If you would like to submit your own changes to us, just send us a patch or a URL to your branch.
